This bird bath is really neat. They were leary of the humming noise for a day or two but no problem now. I keep a brush near-by because algea does tend to grow on the solar panel.
We were concerned it would not be heavy and the squirrels and racoon that also visit our yard would tip it over but this has not been a problem.(In fact the squirting water has frightened the squirrels). Holds over a gallon of water. It was very easy and quick to set up.
We have to fill it everyday because the birds enjoy it so much they splash the water out ekven tho it is quite deep. The solar works well even on slightly cloudy days. We have had trouble with the filter getting cotton wood and elm seeds in it but it is easy to rinse.
At times there is a waiting line of birds wanting to use the new bath (shower). This has been a great addition to our yard and it looks great.
Everyone that visits me wants a bird bath like this one. The sparrows love it too. So far, I've not seen and larger birds visiting the bath.
First of all, this was the best price I could find on this birdbath. I did a lot of research.I wanted to give it to my wife for a Mothers Day gift.The birdbath arrived way sooner than I thought it would, so, it wasn't a surprise,After the very easy assembly, we discovered that the bowl had a small leak. Not bad, but this thing is on our new composite deck and we thought the water would cause a permanent stain.My wife called EWIN the next morning and talked to a very accomodating customer service person.She said they would send out a replacement. And, No, they didn't want us to return the first one.Well, the replacement arrived a few days later.The price was the best, the product is all they said it would be, and, I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially because of the quality of the customer service we received from EWIN.My wife has showed this off to her friends and she is the envy of the neighborhood,Thank You Very much
We've had the birdbath about 2 years. This morning the top and base were severely cracked. One broke so many times there was nothing left to glue.
It needs to be cleaned weekly, but it is lightweight and easy to clean. It worked fine last year. The birds love it.
I ordered new ones from the mfr months ago, but they still haven't come.During the winter we remove the solar unit and put in a heater. The solar fountain worked for the first year. The turtles on the side break easily.
The last few days were unusually cold. The birds need water in winter, but this unit isn't the answer.
We are thrilled with this bird bath. It has a solar power feature that we enjoy listening to the patter of water when the sun hits the solar pane. We also enjoyed the price which was much better than a previous bird bath we had purchased.
